Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any difference, the Greek version applies.

These Terms of Use govern the use of the website thebestmovers.gr and the moving services provided by TheBestMovers. By using the website or asking for a quote, you accept these terms.

1. Provider details

Under Greek Presidential Decree 131/2003, the service provider is:

TheBestMovers
Head office: 146 Charilaou Trikoupi St., 114 72 Athens
Phone: 694 486 5514
Email: info@thebestmovers.gr

2. Description of services

TheBestMovers provides general moving and transport services across Athens and Attica: home and office moves, small moves, furniture storage, packing, student moves and special items. All moves are carried out with professional trucks, by the stairs or the lift. We do not provide furniture-lift (crane) services and we do not take on moves outside Attica.

3. Use of the website

The content of the website is provided for information purposes. We make every effort to keep the information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is always complete or error-free. Using the website for unlawful purposes or in a way that may harm its operation is prohibited.

4. Estimates and quotes

  • The information on the website about our services is indicative and is not a binding offer.
  • Only the written quote we send you is binding. It is valid for 15 days from when it is sent, unless stated otherwise.
  • The quote is based on the details you give us (volume, floors, lift, access). If on moving day the details differ significantly, we will tell you about any difference in cost before doing the extra work.

5. Booking and payment

A booking is completed when you accept the quote in writing. If a deposit is required, its amount is stated in the written quote. Payment is made when the move is completed, in cash within the legal limits, by card or by bank transfer. A legal receipt or invoice is issued for every payment.

6. Cancellation and change of date

  • You can change the date or cancel the booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled time.
  • For cancellations at shorter notice, the deposit, if paid, or an amount corresponding to the cost of reserving the team and the vehicle may be retained, as stated in the written quote.
  • If the move cannot take place due to force majeure (e.g. extreme weather), we will agree a new date with you at no extra charge.

7. Right of withdrawal

When the contract is concluded at a distance (e.g. by phone, email or through the website), consumers in principle have a right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days, under Greek Law 2251/1994 as in force. This right does not apply to contracts for the transport of goods that set a specific date or period of performance, as is usually the case with moves. In any case, the cancellation policy in section 6 applies.

8. Customer obligations

  • To give us accurate details about the volume, the floors, whether there is a lift and any bulky or special items.
  • To arrange, where needed, a permit or parking space for the vehicle.
  • To keep money, jewellery, documents, medicines and other items of special value or importance personally.
  • Not to hand over dangerous or flammable materials for transport (e.g. gas bottles, fuel, chemicals).
  • To be present, in person or through an authorised representative, during loading and delivery.

9. Liability and insurance

  • Our moves are covered by transport insurance (). The terms and limits of the cover are given to you in writing before the move.
  • We are liable for damage caused through the fault of our team while providing the service, in line with the law and the terms of the insurance cover.
  • Visible damage must be noted at delivery, in the presence of our team. Damage that is not visible at delivery must be reported to us in writing as soon as possible and at the latest within 3 working days.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing wear, for internal damage to items packed by the customer where the packaging shows no external damage, or for the working of electrical appliances that show no external damage.
  • The above limitations do not affect our liability for intent or gross negligence (article 332 of the Greek Civil Code), nor the rights consumer protection law gives you.

10. Intellectual property

All content of the website (texts, photos, graphics, logos) is the intellectual property of TheBestMovers or is used lawfully under licence, and is protected by Greek Law 2121/1993. Reproduction without prior written permission is prohibited.

11. Personal data

Your personal data is processed in line with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to a consumer’s right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.

13. Out-of-court dispute resolution

If there is a dispute, please contact us first so we can find a solution together. As a consumer you can also turn to the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or another certified alternative dispute resolution body, and to the General Secretariat for Commerce and Consumer Protection (consumer helpline 1520).

14. Changes

We may change these terms. Changes apply from their publication on the website and do not affect bookings that have already been confirmed.

15. Contact

For any question about these terms, contact us on 694 486 5514 or at info@thebestmovers.gr.
