Protecting your personal data matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you visit the website thebestmovers.gr or use our services, for what purpose, on what legal basis, how long we keep it and what rights you have, under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and Greek Law 4624/2019.

2. What data we collect
- Details you give us through the quote form: full name, phone, email, pick-up and drop-off area, date and type of move, your message and, if you give them, floors, lift and need for packing or storage.
- Contact details: whatever you give us when you call, email or message us on WhatsApp (e.g. photos of furniture for the estimate).
- Service details: pick-up and delivery addresses, access details (floor, lift, parking) and invoicing details.
- Technical data: IP address and browser information for security and spam protection, and cookies only according to your choices (see the Cookie Policy).
We do not collect special categories of data (e.g. health data) and we ask you not to send them to us.

4. Recipients of the data
We do not sell or rent your data. Your data may be shared only with the following recipients, as far as necessary:
- The website’s hosting and email provider, as processor, under a data processing agreement (article 28 GDPR).
- Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Google Maps), only if you have consented to the relevant cookies or choose to load the map.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Turnstile), to protect the forms from automated submissions (bots).
- WhatsApp Ireland Limited, only if you choose to contact us via WhatsApp; in that case WhatsApp’s privacy policy also applies.
- Accountant and insurance company, when needed for invoicing or handling a damage claim.
- Public authorities, only when there is a legal obligation to do so.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers (Google LLC, Cloudflare, Inc.) may process data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which these providers are certified, and additionally on Standard Contractual Clauses (article 46 GDPR).
6. How long we keep the data
- Quote requests that did not lead to a booking: up to 24 months from submission; after that they are deleted automatically.
- Customer details and invoices: for the period required by tax and accounting law.
- Security logs (e.g. failed login attempts): up to 90 days.
- Cookies: for the duration stated in the Cookie Policy.
7. Your rights
Under articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you,
- rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data,
- erasure (“right to be forgotten”), unless the law requires us to keep it,
- restriction of processing,
- portability of the data you gave us,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. For cookies, just click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
To exercise your rights, email or call us using the details in section 1. We will reply without undue delay and at the latest within one month, a period that may be extended by two months for complex requests, in which case we will let you know.
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifisias Ave., 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr).
8. Do you have to give us your data?
Filling in the form is optional, but the fields marked as required are needed for us to reply and give you a quote. If you don’t provide them, we won’t be able to process your request. You can always call us instead.
9. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, nor do we carry out profiling with legal or similarly significant effects for you.
10. Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connection (HTTPS), a web application firewall, two-step authentication for administrators, regular backups and access limited to the people who need the data for their work. Your IP address is not stored together with your quote request.
11. Minors
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 15.

13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. For significant changes we will inform you with a clear notice on the website.
